Pound Count
Several animals are available at the Yankton Animal Shelter. For more information call the Yankton Police Department’s Animal Control Officer, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday at 661-9494, or 668-5210. A $5 fee is required to adopt an animal. Animals can be viewed on the Humane Society Web site at www.heartlandhumanesociety.net.

It is important to remember that an arrest should not imply guilt and that every person is presumed innocent until proven otherwise. When juveniles are released from jail, it is into the care of a parent or guardian.
It is the policy of the Press and Dakotan to publish all names made available in the police and court reports. There are no exceptions.
Accidents
• A 2000 Ford Focus driven by Ariana Popousek, Yankton, was struck by a 1992 Chevy Blazer driven by Rachel Tramp, Yankton, in the 800 block of Douglas Ave. at 5:02 p.m. Thursday.
• A report was received at 7:46 p.m. Thursday that a 1993 Cadillac Deville was damaged while parked in the 200 block of Capital.
• A 1994 Eagle Vision driven by Jason Stone Arrow, Yankton, collided with a 2007 Chevy Silverado pickup driven by Gordon Sage, Yankton, in the 400 block of Cedar at 11:59 a.m. Friday. Estimated value of the damage to the vehicles was $1,036 and $2,185, respectively. Stone Arrow was cited for careless driving.
Arrests/Citations/Bookings
• Britney Ann Ernesti, 20, Yankton, was arrested at 8:33 p.m. Thursday on a bench warrant. She was released at 10:04 p.m. Thursday on $394 bond.
• Diana Lynn Masterson, 45, Yankton, was arrested at 8:58 a.m. Thursday for violation of conditional bond.
Incidents
• A possible rape was reported at 9:28 p.m. Thursday.
